"My onboarding process from HR helped to answer all those questions you have about holiday, sickness and pay," Sarah explains. "Then my team onboarding helped to settle me into my role really well. I was able to introduce myself to many people in the business from the start."

A Typical Day at Rentokil Initial:

Sarah's role involves frequent communication with people across the globe. "A typical day for me includes lots of calls with people across the globe," she shares. As a Project Coordinator, her days are dynamic, filled with diverse tasks and collaborations. "My role as Project Coordinator means that I support a variety of projects, so everyday is different and I am always busy," she says. She enjoys the fast-paced environment and the regular opportunity to connect with team members. "I check in with my team members regularly and offer my support wherever I can."

Excitement and Challenges:

The variety of her role has been a highlight for Sarah. "The most exciting aspect is that I never know what is going to happen," she enthuses. She relishes the unexpected and enjoys interacting with people from different countries and business units. "I also enjoy being able to work with people from all different countries and business units." While adjusting to a full working week after university life presented a challenge, she found that taking short, frequent breaks helped her adapt. "It was a bit of a challenge to adjust to a full working week after coming straight from university," she admits, "but I have found that taking short, frequent breaks has helped me to adapt."

Learning and Growth:

"There is a lot of collaboration which not only can help you with your work, but is interesting to learn about these different aspects, you are exposed to so much!" She emphasises the importance of teamwork in her projects and appreciates the willingness of colleagues to assist each other. Key Highlights:

One of Sarah's most rewarding experiences has been contributing to the rollout of our new Applicant Tracking System. "The most rewarding experience I have had so far is being involved in the rollout of our new Applicant Tracking System," she says. Being part of a successful project from its early stages has given her a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Looking Ahead:

Sarah is eager to further refine her organisational skills and enhance project efficiency. "I am looking to further refine my organisational skills and enhance my project efficiency," she shares. She plans to explore automation and streamline tasks to maximise her impact. "I will be looking into automating a few of the tasks I have to carry out." Her experience here at Rentokil Initial has exceeded her expectations, providing exposure to diverse aspects of the business and fostering personal growth. "My experience has exceeded my expectations of the role," she says. "As a recent graduate, I was looking for a role that would expose me to lots of different aspects of a business, and in just 3 months, I have experienced more than I could have imagined."
