This position as an Accounts Receivable Officer is crucial for supporting our finance team in managing financial transactions efficiently and effectively during peak periods.

Role Summary:
As a Temporary Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments, maintaining excellent relationships with clients, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Process collections from Credit Officers and other sources, preparing daily reports for the Credit Controller.
• Validate deposited cheques with posted cash-collection balances daily.
• Prepare daily bank deposits for CIT Security collection.
• Receive cash-job payments and ensure they match invoices and Cash Clearing Sheets.
• Liaise daily with branches on collections and deposits.
• Prepare required AR receipts and weekly Linx journal for review.
• Manage daily online payments ensuring proper documentation.
• Ensure Credit Officers provide accurate remittance details for payment processing.
• Balance collections submitted from the Front Desk daily.
• Oversee balancing of Wireless terminals for Field Staff.
• Address customer queries regarding payment applications.
• Communicate with Credit Officers about short-paid invoices and resolve returned cheques quickly.
• Process credits by deadlines.
• Review Ledger weekly for balance applications and credits.
• Generate AR balancing and Ageing Reports at month-end and assist the Credit Control Manager with period-close tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least five (5) CXC passes or
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, mathematics, or a related field is NOT REQUIRED but will be an asset.
• At least two (2) years experience in an Accounts Receivable role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of MS Excel
