1 x IT & DPO Intern (12 month fixed term contract) , Claremont Cape Town

An exciting opportunity for a recently graduated individual has becomre available to support :

• The IT team in ensuring compliance with Data Privacy laws and legislation 
• Maintaining IT documentation, mapping out business processes 

Please note that the successful candidate will need to be registered and complete a company-selected and SETA-approved learnership.

Requirements:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

IT & DPO Intern

1. Assist in the day-to-day Data Privacy Activities
2. Maintain awareness of privacy related laws, guidance and best practice.
3. Assist with privacy assessments, records of processing, owner identification/management, Data Subjects Requests, incident/breach management details.
4. Assist with the creation and distribution of training materials and privacy/security related communications throughout the businesses.
5. Assist in maintaining a tracker of compliance activity.
6. Act as point of contact to Data Privacy Change Champions and the business 
7. Prepare and / or maintain functional, technical and user documentation such as Data Flow Diagrams etc.
8. Business Analysis activities to improve the existing systems and for the creation of new solutions
9. Assist with producing User Acceptance Test Cases and Scenarios
10. Create user guides and manuals to assist end-users in utilising technology effectively
11. Successfully complete the company selected and SETA approved learnership
