Role description

The Finance Shared Services Financial Controller will be responsible for the in-house accounting and finance shared services function. To provide leadership for finance transformation and identify / solve problems in an innovative and collaborative fashion. He/She will oversee the effective operations of Finance Reporting functions of Finance Shared Service. Key levers are standardization, consolidation, automation, and process improvements to drive strengthened internal controls, customer service, cost, and productivity.

• Collaborates with Group Reporting & Control
• Collaborates with Countries Financial analyst and Finance Directors/Business Controllers/Business Finance Managers

Responsibilities Leadership role

• Motivating the finance shared service team to be customer-centric and providing direction to become high performers.
• Create a collaborative culture where the team feels empowered to present business process solutions and make calculated decisions.
• Drive best practice and process efficiencies through clear instruction and line management to the team.
• Maintain a controlled environment that connects strategic business objectives to operational targets that are monitored through a robust set of KPIs and process standards.

Customer and Stakeholder Management

• Fostering partnerships and good working relationships with stakeholders (mainly country FDs/FMs).
• Continuously drive a team culture which adopts best practices; identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and improve stakeholder satisfaction.
• Create, implement, and support the development of finance transformation projects across the accounting functions.
• Provide subject matter expertise to business partners for company development of strategic planning and organizational change.

Skills

The Shared Services FC is a fluent multi-tasker that manages day-to-day accounting and finance operations, drive best practice, and process efficiencies, and build stakeholder relationships. Strong communication skills are required to galvanize large teams and embed support for a centralized shared services model. Excellent time management and ability to perform in a deadline-based environment

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Qualified accountant (CA or CPA).
• Strong IFRS Accounting knowledge and experience.
• Total career experience of 8-12 years, with at least 3 years of experience as a people manager. Ability to demonstrate examples of managing a team of various personality types.
• A team player with the capability to work independently.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skill
• Good written and spoken English.

Highly Desirable:

• Possess good business acumen.
• High level of emotional intelligence.
• Proficiency with financial software packages (NAV), especially MS office and google
