Urban Planters - Depot Manager
Key Information
Basic salary of £25,000 per annum

We deliver our products and services using our national network of branches, spanning the length and breadth of the UK. This means we can offer the personalised service of a local business but with the standards and resources of a national organisation.

We now have a carbon negative business who’s teams install planting in, on and around the buildings of the companies we partner with. We are happiest while we are landscaping, installing indoor planting schemes or maintaining the plants or grounds of our clients.
Permanent: A full time role, working Monday to Friday (42.5 hr week)
Location: Join the team based in Cheshire
The Role
As a Depot Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Cheshire Depot.
Your main duties will include:
- Managing all members of staff and equipment
- Assisting the management team with scheduling of grounds maintenance
- Managing and carrying out small soft landscaping projects
- Ensure all members of staff are complying with health and safety legislation
- Providing holiday cover for grounds maintenance teams
- Ensure all members of staff complete daily logs and timesheets
- Carry out staff appraisals with HR Manager
- Attending management meetings
- Carry out GM audits on all local sites
- Promote good housekeeping within depot
- Assist with recruitment
- Train and develop team members
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Suitable level of grounds maintenance and landscaping experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organisation skills
- Ideally worked in a similar role before
