About the role:
This is a functional role with the European business focused specifically on analytics and insight.
Insight is seen as fundamental to the success of the business. The European business is working to improve and grow its ability to develop and deliver insight and in effect sweat the data assets of the company.
This role will manage a pipeline of insight requests and the development of those requests into insight assets (ie. dashboards, reports etc) to drive forward the European business.
Main purpose of the role:
- Manage a pipeline of insight requests
- Curate each request within the pipeline into a fully curated insight request that can be worked on by a dashboard developer.
- Provide support to dashboards developed by the team.
- Development of dashboards and analytics.
- Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting.
- Takes responsibility for data change projects.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Build, develop and maintain data models; reporting systems; data automation systems; and, dashboards; that provide insights to help analyse business functions; key operations; and, performance metrics, as well as support key business decisions.
- Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritisation, approval, etc.
- Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organisational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
- Determines and report on the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncovers readiness gaps and creates and implements action plans to close the gaps before go-live.
- Assists the user community in provision of transition support and change planning, and liaises with the project team.

Experience:
- Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
- Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
- Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analysing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
- Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.
- Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
- Has achieved proficiency in the Task of Business analysis.
- Possesses a broad understanding of business and business skills, and understands the significance of commercial constraints.
Knowledge and systems:
- Educated to bachelor degree level or holds a relevant professional qualification.
- Experience with big data tools: GCP Workspace, BigQuery
- Experience with data visualisation tools: QlikSense, DataStudio
- Experience with javascript
- Data Transfer protocols such as CSV, XML and JSON
- Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
This role is working as part of the Europe Regional team, and so can be based out of any of our regional offices. Occassional buisness travel will be required to our Head Office in the UK.
