Junior Product Development Manager

An opportunity has arisen within the Hygiene & well-being, innovation & product development team, for a junior product development manager to support new product introductions (NPI) into the business

Main Tasks:

● Work closely with colleagues to support the technical progression of new products, technology and services.

● Support the development and testing of early prototypes and product concepts

● Capture technical learning and test data in comprehensive written reports.

● Provide technical recommendations and solutions to problems where applicable.

● Interface and communicate technically with internal stakeholders and external suppliers globally as necessary.

● Support qualification of ‘off the shelf’ technologies for re-application into the business, ensuring that these new innovations meet exacting performance, quality, regulatory and cost requirements.

● Work closely with and support the project manager to create agendas attend product development meetings and write actions & minutes. Record progress and drive completion of actions through project management tools such as JIRA

Requirements:

● A degree or equivalent working experience in the field of engineering, or product development.

● A good communicator, calm under pressure and capable of managing multiple priorities.

● Good problem-solving skills with the ability to generate and interpret complex technical data, and provide conclusions and recommendations for follow-up action accordingly.

● Able to collaborate within multi-functional teams, working beyond direct sphere of influence to deliver results. Effective partnering with peers to deliver against common goals (both face to face and within ‘virtual’ teams).

● Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format to different levels within an organization.

● Commercially minded, ability to assess the commercial viability of processes and new development initiatives.

● Working knowledge and use of common IT applications including Microsoft Office. Experiences of graphic design, CAD and Project Management software advantageous
