Marketing Assistant - Based in Claremont WC

Due to continuous expansion, an opportunity has now arisen for some Digital Marketing Executives to join our team based in our offices in Cape Town.

As a Digital Marketing Executive, you will own a number of business websites and will be responsible for improving and updating their content, structure and overall organic search performance. You will also optimise the site for priority search terms whilst driving organic visitors in order to increase customer enquiries for a given business. You will work closely with the growing digital marketing team as well as the wider Marketing team. Researching keywords and developing keyword strategy, you will continually review how your website is performing and make sure we have the best content in the right format. In this dynamic role, you will be tasked with defining target pages for each priority keyword or phrase. You will also update the company’s website with appropriate keywords to ensure we have great content that reads naturally and performs well with search engines, as well as updating the site meta data.

Requirements:

As a Marketing Assistant, you will work on various marketing initiatives, campaigns  and plans within a small marketing team. This position will be mainly focused on category marketing with some digital marketing aspects. You will be responsible for a number of marketing activities, in particular the introduction of new services, launch of online and offline marketing activities,  with the aim of supporting Rentokil Initials strategy and objectives.

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES

• Support marketing planning and execution.
• Research, analyse and run marketing campaigns, targeting key customer opportunities.
• Define, manage and complete Project Plans for the introduction of new products and services.
• Analyse the market and complete an annual competitive analysis, be able to identify new products on the market and use the information to position our products in an effective way.
• Develop and implement internal and external marketing communications.
• Support the  introduction of new products within the Rentokil product range.
• Manage the range of existing products for Rentokil by collaborating with the marketing team and other functions to maintain high quality standards; managing the current range of products/services.
• Aid in the administration and coordination of marketing activities.
• Assist in the brainstorming of written and image content for our marketing channels.
• Assist in the development and expansion of our social media channels.
• Maintain detailed KPIs, measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS and  EXPERIENCE

• A relevant third level qualification in a related discipline - Business or Marketing.
• Up to 1 years’ experience in general marketing.
• Experience using Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
• Experience in using Canva and Photoshop and Video editing software is desirable but not essential.
• Detail focused with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Location: Cape Town.
