What do our Contract Managers do?

A contract manager manages all aspects of an integrated mosquito management program.

Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manage all mosquito surveillance and control activities in a safe and organized manner, following all applicable laws, regulations, and VDCI policies
• Hire and train all seasonal employees in accordance with all laws and VDCI policies
• Manage all employees consistently and efficiently, following all VDCI policies and procedures, and ensuring that all activities are performed safely and in compliance with all laws and regulations
• With training provided by VDCI, Obtain all licenses & certifications required to perform any mosquito control activities
• Enter all program data into VDCI's database completely and accurately on a daily basis
• Download all GPS units and truck monitor data to the computer correctly on a daily basis
• Calibrate all application equipment accurately and routinely, and record activities properly
• Work with the Regional Director to develop and implement the most effective mosquito control program possible, including personnel requirements, control activities, budget management, safety considerations etc. while maintaining open communication at all times

What do you need?

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• 3+ years of field experience desired, but a mix of experience and education will be seriously considered
• Experience in mosquito management, facilities, or warehouse operations preferred
• Bachelor's degree or significant coursework in Biology, Entomology, or related field preferred
• Strong communication skill, attention to detail, and proficiency in the use of computers and office equipment
• Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
• Must pass pre-employment background screen
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle record search
