We are offering an internship for those starting their careers in pest control and hygiene sales in Tanzania. The Service to Sales Intern will engage clients, transform service interactions into sales opportunities, and receive comprehensive training in sales and pest management.

Role Overview

The internship focuses on deepening your understanding of the pest control industry, starting with field work to learn service fundamentals and transitioning into a Sales Consultant role within 6 to 12 months.

Phases of the Internship:

Phase 1: Technical Foundation

• Field Immersion: Work with technicians on pest control services.
• Understanding the Science: Learn pest identification and solution applications.
• Customer Interaction: Build trust with clients.

Phase 2: Gap Identification & Lead Generation

• Site Inspections: Identify new client risks.
• Service to Sales Pivot: Communicate risks and recommend solutions.
• Sales Shadowing: Learn negotiation techniques from Senior Sales Consultants.

Phase 3: Sales Trainee & Transition

• Proposal Development: Draft quotes and protection plans.
• Targets & KPIs: Manage a lead pipeline.
• Promotion: Transition to a Sales Consultant post successful evaluation.

Requirements:

Qualifications We Are Looking For

Educational Background: A recent degree in Business, Marketing, or Environmental Science is necessary, providing theoretical and practical knowledge relevant to our field.

Attitude: Candidates should have a strong sales orientation and a commitment to outstanding customer service, prioritizing client needs.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Swahili is essential for effective communication with diverse clientele and team collaboration.

Adaptability: A proactive approach is needed for hands-on fieldwork, with a willingness to adapt to varying environments in a dynamic setting.

Driver's License: A valid Tanzanian driver's license is preferred, aiding in client engagement and business operations, though not mandatory for all candidates.

Additional Qualifications: strong communication and interpersonal skills are sought. Ability to work independently and in teams is essential, and while knowledge in pest control and hygiene services is a plus, training will be provided. Proficiency in MS Office and solid IT skills are required, alongside a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
