What do our Accounting Assistant's do?

The Accounting Assistant provides administrative support to the accounting team, undertaking clerical tasks such as data entry of accounts payable and accounts receivable, filing, making occasional phone calls, and basic bookkeeping.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare customer invoices
• Process vendor invoices into Accounts Payable system
• Reconcile vendor invoices and identify discrepancies
• Request and process W-9 forms from new vendors
• Familiarity with a wide range of financial transactions including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

What do you need?

• High school diploma or GED - required
• 3+ (three) years of Finance or Accounting experience - required
• This is a full-time position. The Accounting Assistant will report to an office.
• Work Schedule: This job tends to have regular office hours but may have extended hours due to time-sensitive deadlines and time frames. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required at month end as job duties demand.
• Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search
