Job Summary

The role of the Manager, Accounts Payable will manage the accounts

payable department including planning and analysis, projects and

deadlines, customer service issues, reviewing existing and developing

new procedures to improve the operation of the department.

● Days to Pay (DTP) Metrics

● Invoices processed per employee

● Invoice/Payment errors

● Top payment methods

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Direct and manage the account payables department (invoice processing and disbursements, vendor maintenance, 1099 processing, etc).

● Perform planning and analysis

● Manage complex projects and deadlines

● Lead cross functional teams

● Handle all unresolved customer service issues from both internal and external customers

● Provide leadership and guidance to the team which includes communicating the vision and direction of Leadership

● Review and analyze existing procedures

● Develop new procedures by incorporating necessary improvements in the operation of the

department

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience

● 4-6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and

experience

● AP Certification by an accredited organization i.e. IAPP and/or IOMA preferred

● Comprehensive knowledge of ERP and Procure to Pay practices including; laws and regulations, best practice processes and tools etc.

● Strong leadership and project management experience

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Ability to maintain high level of accuracy

● Excellent organizational skills

● Detail oriented

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
