• Develop, implement and oversee income tax accounting processes that accurately calculate current and deferred taxes under IFRS. 

• Oversee the preparation and filing of all US federal, state, local and Canadian income tax returns.

• Collaborate with Group Tax on actual and forecasted ETR and cash taxes for North America to ensure proper reporting. 

• Proactively identify and analyze potential tax implications of current and proposed business transactions.

• Develop and implement strategic tax plans to minimize the company's income tax liabilities.

• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on income tax matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations.

• Ensure accounting processes are followed and adhere to the SOX framework.

• Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to non-tax professionals.

• Provide assistance and guidance to the Mergers & Acquisitions Team, including completing income tax due diligence on potential targets and ensuring successful integration of acquisitions.

• Analyze and guide the tax implications of expansions into new jurisdictions.

• Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and other corporate functions to comprehensively understand business operations.

• Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure company compliance.

• Manage and represent the company during income tax audits.

• Supervise and mentor the income tax team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members on complex tax issues.

• Assist employees with their career planning and development.

• Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.

• Assign and manage projects effectively within the team.

• 10+ years of progressive income tax experience

• 8+ years of experience leading teams 

• CorpTax experience preferred

Base Pay Range $148,000 - 196,000/year

While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
