We are looking for a motivated and dynamic HR Generalist who will be responsible for supporting our Victorian and Tasmanian Branches.
You will report into the HR Manager for this region, and you will have the support of our larger HR team based across AUS, NZ and Fiji, all of which have a wealth of knowledge that they are happy to share if needed.
This role is based in our Port Melbourne office, with travel required to our Geelong, Campbellfield and Hallam branches depending on business needs.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing support and assistance to Managers with all their HR Generalist queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage HR inquiries from managers or employees within the region
- Provide coaching and advice to people and people leaders with any ER concerns, performance management or grievances they may have
- HR Administrative duties including maintaining employee data and use of HRIS (Workday) and reporting for the branches
- Assist managers with interpreting their industrial instruments (i.e. awards) in Pest, Hygiene and Miscellaneous Awards
- Change Management support, Induction Support & Employee Exits interviews
- Contribute to the development and success of key people initiatives (reward & recognition, wellbeing & induction programs)
- Providing support to the HRM with any HR initiatives or Mergers and Acquisitions when required
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Minimum of 1-2 years HR Generalist experience in a HR Coordinator and/or HR Advisory role
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, under pressure, and within tight deadlines
- Demonstrated moderate ER knowledge, skills, and experience
- The ability to coach, influence, and enable leaders to help them make sound HR decisions
- Understanding of the NES, Interpreting Awards and Australian HR legislation requirements
- Sound communication and relationship management skills
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline (or working towards completion) would be advantageous.
- Experience in Talant acquisition, PDs, contract generation and managing FTEs.
