IT Business Analyst

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping RI's technical landscape. Your responsibilities will include:

• Directly involved in scoping, requirements gathering, gap analysis, and functional design.
• Collaborating with project teams, business managers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to uncover functional and non-functional requirements.
• Working closely with engineering squads, architects, SMEs, UX designers, and other key stakeholders to design fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Adopting a collaborative and consultative approach to ensure stakeholder buy-in at all levels across the business.

What We're Looking For:

• Proficiency in effectively and concisely communicating requirements to developers and testers.
• Proven ability to analyze business functions and existing software, draft functional requirements, design specifications, or user stories.
• Demonstrated creative thinking and a willingness to support new or improved approaches to solving business problems.
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving/analytical skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in visual storytelling, planning, and running workshops.
• Ability to be the voice and champion for user needs while balancing recommendations with business needs.
• Strong collaboration skills alongside effective, engaging, and influencing communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain good professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven, relevant experience in the software industry.
• An understanding of application programming, database, and system design.
• Experience managing and leading requirements gathering workshops.
• Sound knowledge of key business processes and operational procedures.
• Ability to effectively manage and influence stakeholders.
• A genuine passion for the customer and an ability to transform concepts and issues into effective delivery.
• Ability to think strategically, leveraging insight to inform change.

Beneficial (but not required):

• Understanding of Agile values and principles and experience working within Agile development teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to articulate key messages to different audiences.
• Sound knowledge of business process workflows and product requirements breakdown.
