Job Foreman/Construction Installer

What do our Installers do?

This role provides the installation, supervision and expertise of
complicated construction projects sold by the Ambius Construction
Team. Provides/Manages work beyond the capacity of the Ambius
Branches throughout the United States and abroad. Provides
customer service during the installation, throughout the entire job
through completion and follow ups to our clients. Cultivate branch
colleagues, existing clients and new business relationships.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

● Formulate and execute work and delivery schedules for each project
● Determine proper tool and equipment compliment for each project
● Attend all required construction or safety meetings, disseminate information as appropriate
● Conducts Performance Reviews according to prevailing guidelines.
● Administers disciplinary action according to company policy
● To comply with all Health and Safety responsibilities as specified
● To immediately report any hazardous site conditions or accidents to your Manager or other
indicated person
● To attend all meetings as required
Health and Safety Responsibilities: Provide to all employees a safe, without risk, working
environment. This includes but is not limited to the following:
● Comply with all Health and Safety requirements as specified by the company and other
government regulatory agencies. This includes but is not limited to:
o Reporting/remedy of potential hazards
o Storing, handling and disposing of chemicals
● Timely reporting of first reports of injury to the appropriate person with accurate and timely
completion of necessary forms.
● Conduct health and safety audits of each employee to ensure work is in accordance with the
safety policies of the company and other government regulatory agencies.

Ensure that written health and safety procedures for each job task are up to date and available
to include any potential health and safety risk in site specific areas.
● Attend any required Health & Safety meetings or training sessions
Working Environment: The team member may be subject to one or more of the following
environmental conditions
● Travel (very high amount of travel is required)
● Work hours are typically 8-4:30 but do vary often and you must be able to work all shifts,
weekends and nights
● Active New construction (construction sites with hazardous conditions)
● Active Remodel Construction Sites (all phases)
● Existing malls, hotels, office buildings, airports, museums, etc.. (many finished surfaces & floor
types)
● Cruise Ships (domestic and abroad)
● Ambius Warehouses (Des Plaines and NA Branches)
● Working at Heights (requires certification)

Required Experience
● Prior experience with landscape installation of large projects is a must.
● Prior experience on Construction Job Sites of large commercial projects is a must.
● Operation of forklift, other lift equipment and hoists
● Experience and understanding of reading shop drawings and blueprints
● 5+ years' experience in trades and or construction related field
● Clear understanding of OSHA jobsite standards
● Experience with Reporting, computer work will be required. Such as, Construction Reports,
Expense Reports and Safety Reports.

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

Lift Equipment / Work at Height Certified
● College Degree in Construction Management or horticulture field construction experience
required
● Must have a good driving record and be able to obtain a DOT card to drive small box trucks.
CDL is preferred.
