Key Relationships:
- Directors/Sr. Directors of Marketing Categories (Commercial, Health/Wellness, Termite/Home and/or General Pest/Mosquito), Director of Residential Marketing Program & Promotion Management, and the Director/Sr. Director of Residential Local Marketing.
- Will work closely with VP, Residential Marketing on key projects.
- May further communicate results to key stakeholders including the Director/Sr. Director of Brand Management, Sr. Director of Digital Performance Marketing and Sr. Director Finance.
Job Summary:
Responsible for developing custom/ad-hoc unique analytics to aid specific questions or issues toward the development and delivery of AOP plans. Determines drivers of volume, leads and retention for a given set of product lines and makes actionable recommendations. Uncovers insights and develops clear and concise presentations that communicate the opportunity or threat in a story-based way. These communications will often need to be used in executive communication decks to senior leadership. Designs custom market experiments and measures the impact of Pricing, Promotion, Programs and Products. Measures or estimates the size of a given category using third party sources and proprietary analytics to help determine the size and growth of a given Category a line of business competes. Acts as an internal consultant to the Director, Marketing for a given business on the performance and ROI of different marketing programs, the effects of competitive activity on business performance, and other key market factors to enable stronger go to market plans.

Growth: Successful launch of key Residential Marketing initiatives
People: Strong stakeholder engagement and support across Residential Marketing. Strong relationships with stakeholders in other Marketing pillars (eg, Brand, Commercial, Digital).
Market Success: Solution penetration / Residential penetration / Commercial penetration
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
In support of the Marketing team, designs and executes custom analytics projects, including defining the analytics objectives, framing critical business questions, developing the analytical approach, and delivering the creation of custom statistical models.
Prepares presentations and communicates results of custom analytical studies once completed to the Director of Marketing for a given business (Termite/Home, Pest/Mosquito, Commercial, Health/Wellness).
Presents findings to the VP of Residential Marketing and CMO, and other members of the Marketing Leadership to aid the development of cross category/cross business learning and program development.
Develops proprietary data models to produce insights around complex problems.
Manages analytics budget and spending for a given category or lines of business, ensuring alignment with the appropriate Director of Marketing for an assigned category of business (Termite/Home, Commercial, Pest/Mosquito, Health/Wellness), as well as the VP Marketing, Residential and CMO in accordance with the overall annual Marketing budget. Works in partnership with Marketing Operations to ensure proper budget allocations and visibility to custom marketing research spending. Works with Finance on proper spending allocations, payments and tracking to third party market research vendors.
Maintains relationships with outside custom analytics agencies and other third parties (eg, universities, institutes, etc) to stay abreast of new analytical tools and techniques that may address Marketing needs.
Performs other duties as needed related to deepening Rentokil-Terminix understanding of Residential Marketplace.
Required Experience:
Minimum 7+years of experience in specifically in custom analytics research, preferably within consumer related products and services
Strong working knowledge of SQL or other large data query tools.
Experience with analytical tools such as SAS, R. Matlab, or Python strongly preferred
Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft and / or Google Suite products
Ability to analyze and draw insights and conclusions from data and custom analytics.
Experience in managing vendors with the ability to work independently on most aspects of analytical projects

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Business Analytics, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred

Incumbent is required to have:
- Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.
Incumbent will be subject to:
- Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
