Pest Control Job Technician

Key Information

This Pest Control Technician role comes with a basic salary of £22,464 per annum plus benefits (including a company vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone, uniform and RI Rewards), increasing to £24,169 per annum once you are fully trained.

Expected OTE: £30,000 per annum, with bonus and commission schemes available

Permanent: We offer the opportunity for a flexible contract (40 Weeks) with start and end times to suit your circumstances.

Location: Join the team based in Hull.

The purpose of this role is to deliver a pest control service to specified Service Level Agreements (SLA) to specially designated customers to undertake bird proofing works, larger job works and all such works as requested from time to time by the line manager.

The job technician has a responsibility to positively promote the specialist services offered by Rentokil and to act professionally at all times.

Job technicians are responsible for complying with the latest Health & Safety, Environmental and Pesticide usage regulations (where required). In addition, all Rentokil Pest Control guidelines, manuals, booklets and printed correspondence should be adhered to at all times.

Requirements:

• Working as part of a 2 man team the Job Technician holds the responsibility to make sure all agreed works are completed to the highest possible standards.

• To maintain and use responsibly all Rentokil equipment as well as sub-contractors' equipment.

• To keep accurate stock records and ensure the company vehicle is organised and tidy at all times.

• To make sure that when required all hired equipment is directly off-hired and that the OSA is provided with the off-hire number.

• To advise customers of any additional proofing requirements identified during the time spent on site that may not have been identified when the works were originally spec’d out.

• To raise hygiene and housekeeping issues with the client as and when necessary.

• To clean the work area of all debris associated with the completed installation program.

• Alter method statements and risk assessments as may require prior to starting any program and liaise directly with the site contacts to complete any permits to works or other such paperwork.

• To maintain accurate records of daily activity via a PDA.

• To respond immediately to a call from a client by phone, and arrive at their premises within the agreed timeframe. To keep the client and the OSA office informed of any delay to allow alternative arrangements to be made.
