Regulatory Officer

To be part of the Marketing and Innovation (M&I) Function Technical Services Regulatory Team in the Power Centre and contribute to the team’s effectiveness (commercially and technically), competence and to ensure that activities are fully integrated and aligned to add value to the Rentokil Initial (RI) businesses.

• To support regulatory compliance within RI businesses and to implement appropriate corrective actions within required timeframes where non compliance has been identified.
• To contribute towards ensuring that all products are compliant with all relevant areas of legislation including product safety information, perform product classification and draft label and packaging as required.
• To contribute to obtaining and maintaining product registrations as required.
• Ensure accurate information is maintained in the Company regulatory databases.
• Provide and and out of hours support for the emergency response service (ERS).
• When required, attendance of relevant Trade Associations to ensure regulatory knowledge is up to date so to provide support and training to the Regulatory team on areas of specific expertise.
• Assist in other work areas as may be required from time to time at the discretion of Line Management.
• To accept and comply with the employee’s duties as detailed in Global Science Centre Health and Safety Policy Statement.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a good honours degree in a scientific or similar discipline.
• A science graduate with a proven track record of at least 2 years in chemical regulatory affairs or product safety.
• A broad understanding of European regulations and some experience of other Global regional regulations that affect chemical products, specifically with regard to registration, safe use, transportation and disposal.
• Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy along with excellent written and verbal communication skills whilst being meticulous and detailed in their quality of work.

• Strong data analysis skills with a process driven, problem solving, pragmatic mind-set.

• Proven experience of working across borders, regions and culture; frequent international travel a necessity.
